1. Purpose of the Community


Stepflow is a platform for knowledge sharing, creative publishing, discussion, and content discovery. We aim to create a safe, respectful, and inspiring space where users can share, discover, and interact with content. These Community Guidelines apply in addition to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.


2. Core Principles


We expect all users to treat each other with respect, honesty, and in compliance with the law. Content must not mislead, threaten, discriminate, or endanger other users. Stepflow protects freedom of expression and discussion as long as it does not violate the rights of others or these guidelines.



3. Allowed Content


The following content is generally allowed:

  • Educational and informational content
  • Creative content such as photos, videos, texts, audio, illustrations, and designs, provided the necessary rights are available
  • Discussions, comments, and debates
  • Political content, as long as it does not promote hate, violence, or manipulation
  • AI-generated content, provided it is not deceptive or abusive and if clearly labeled
  • Advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate content, if clearly labeled
  • Content about products, brands, experiences, communities, and current topics, provided it is lawful



4. Not Allowed Content


The following content is prohibited:

  • Glorification of violence, threats, or incitement to violence
  • Hate speech, discriminatory content, or attacks on protected characteristics such as origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age
  • Harassment, bullying, stalking, or targeted intimidation
  • Fraud, scams, phishing, deception, or misleading giveaways
  • Sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, or non-consensual sexual content
  • Content that endangers, sexualizes, or exploits minors
  • Illegal activities, instructions for crimes, or trade in illegal goods
  • Terrorism, extremism, or support for extremist organizations
  • Doxxing or publishing private data of other individuals
  • Content promoting or glorifying self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
  • Spam, malware, harmful links, or manipulation of platform operations



5. Nudity and Sexual Content


Sexualized content is only permitted where it does not violate applicable law or these guidelines.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Explicit pornography or sexual acts without a lawful context
  • Sexualized content involving minors or individuals appearing to be minors
  • Content that sexually harasses, humiliates, or objectifies others
  • Non-consensual intimate content


Exceptions may apply in limited cases, such as educational, medical, breastfeeding-related, or artistic contexts, provided there is no deception or harm.



6. AI-Generated Content


AI-generated content is allowed on Stepflow when used transparently, lawfully, and responsibly. Users are responsible for ensuring that AI-generated content they upload complies with applicable laws and these Community Guidelines.


The use of artificial intelligence must not be intended to deceive, manipulate, harm, or mislead other users.


The following are not allowed:

  • Deepfakes or manipulated content that falsely represents real individuals, events, statements, or actions
  • AI-generated content that impersonates real persons without consent or appropriate disclosure
  • AI-generated content used for fraud, misinformation, manipulation, harassment, or other harmful purposes
  • AI-generated sexual or exploitative content involving minors or non-consenting individuals
  • AI-generated content that violates intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other applicable laws


6.1 AI Transparency and Labeling Requirements


Users must provide appropriate disclosure when content is significantly AI-generated or digitally manipulated, especially where the content could reasonably mislead users or appear to represent real people, events, or statements.


Stepflow may require users to add clear labels, disclosures, or other transparency notices for AI-generated or AI-manipulated content.


Users are responsible for ensuring that AI-generated content they create or upload complies with applicable transparency requirements and legal obligations.


Where required by applicable law, users must not present AI-generated or AI-manipulated content as authentic human-created content when such presentation could mislead others.


6.2 Platform Measures and Enforcement


To maintain a safe, transparent, and trustworthy platform, Stepflow may take appropriate measures regarding AI-generated or AI-manipulated content.


Stepflow may:

  • Request additional disclosure or labeling of AI-generated content
  • Apply platform labels or notices to AI-generated or manipulated content where appropriate
  • Restrict visibility, limit distribution, or remove content that violates these Community Guidelines or applicable laws
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly misuse AI-generated content
  • Implement technical and organizational measures to support transparency and prevent misuse


Stepflow does not guarantee that all AI-generated or manipulated content can be automatically detected. Users remain responsible for the content they upload and share on the platform.


Where required by applicable law, Stepflow may cooperate with competent authorities regarding unlawful AI-generated content or misuse of artificial intelligence.



7. Advertising and Commercial Content


Advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, and product placements must be clearly labeled. Hidden advertising, misleading claims, or manipulative sales practices are prohibited. Commercial content must not mislead users. Advertising content is subject to the same moderation standards as organic content.



8. Inauthentic Behavior


The following are not allowed:

  • Fake accounts or identity misuse
  • Purchased followers, likes, views, or comments
  • Bots or automated interactions without permission
  • Artificial manipulation of reach or engagement
  • Coordinated spam or abuse of reporting systems


Stepflow may remove or restrict such activity, including automated or large-scale behavior.



9. Copyright and Third-Party Rights


Users may only upload content they have the necessary rights to use.


The following are prohibited:

  • Unauthorized uploading of photos, videos, audio, text, or graphics belonging to others
  • Reposting copyrighted content without permission
  • Use of trademarks, logos, or personality rights without legal basis


Stepflow may remove content if third-party rights are infringed or a valid complaint is received.



10. Privacy and Safety


It is prohibited to publish private or sensitive information about others without permission, including:

  • Addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • ID data
  • Bank details
  • Intimate or protected personal information


Doxxing, extortion, threats, spying, or bypassing privacy settings is also prohibited.



11. Protection of Minors


Content and behavior on Stepflow must not endanger, sexualize, manipulate, or encourage risky behavior among minors. In particular, exploitation, grooming, abuse, dangerous challenges, and content that promotes, depicts, or glorifies self-harm or self-endangerment involving minors are strictly prohibited. Additional restrictions or protective measures may apply where minors are involved.


11.1 Child Safety Standards


Stepflow is committed to protecting children and preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). 


Stepflow strictly prohibits: 

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Sexual exploitation of minors
  • Grooming or attempts to sexually exploit minors
  • Any sexual content involving children or minors
  • Any behavior that places children at risk of harm or exploitation


11.2 Reporting Child Safety Concerns


Users can report suspected violations involving minors through:

Reports are reviewed by Stepflow and appropriate actions may include:

  • Removal of violating content
  • Restriction, suspension, or termination of accounts
  • Reporting to relevant authorities where required by applicable law


11.3 Cooperation With Authorities


Where required by applicable law, Stepflow may cooperate with competent law enforcement authorities or other competent authorities and provide relevant information in accordance with applicable laws to support the protection of children and minors.



12. Health and Self-Harm


Content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders is prohibited. Educational or supportive content may be allowed if it is not graphic, encouraging, or instructional. Stepflow may label, restrict, or remove such content for user safety.



13. Political and Social Content


Political content is allowed as long as it complies with these guidelines.

Prohibited are manipulated content, coordinated misinformation campaigns, election interference through deception, or content intended to disrupt democratic processes. Stepflow may apply additional review or visibility limitations where necessary.



14. Moderation


Stepflow uses automated systems, human moderators, and user reports to review content. Automated systems assist in detecting spam, abuse, harmful content, and potential violations. Enforcement may be carried out by automated systems and/or trained human moderators.



15. Sanctions


In case of violations, Stepflow may take actions including:

  • Removal of content
  • Reach limitation or reduced visibility
  • Content labeling or restriction
  • Feature limitations
  • Temporary suspensions
  • Permanent bans
  • Account deletions
  • Restrictions on monetization or advertising

Actions depend on severity, frequency, and impact of the violation.



16. Reporting System


Users may report content or profiles that violate these guidelines. Reports must be made in good faith. Abusive, false, or repeated spam reports may themselves result in action.



17. Appeals


Users may appeal moderation decisions. Appeals must be submitted via support email: support@stpflw.com. Stepflow will review appeals within a reasonable timeframe and provide a reasoned decision. This aligns with transparency and complaint mechanisms under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).



18. Repeat Violations


In case of repeated or severe violations, Stepflow may take appropriate measures.


These may include:

  • Warning
  • Content removal or restriction
  • Temporary feature limitations
  • Temporary account suspension
  • Termination of premium services (e.g. Stepflow+)
  • Permanent account suspension
  • Account deletion 

The measure depends on the type, severity, and frequency of the violation. Creating new accounts to bypass a suspension is prohibited and may lead to immediate re-suspension.



19. Changes to the Guidelines


Stepflow may update these Community Guidelines at any time if required for legal, technical, or security reasons. The latest version is available on the platform.

Prohibited are manipulated content, coordinated misinformation campaigns, election interference through deception, or content intended to disrupt democratic processes. Stepflow may apply additional review or visibility limitations where necessary.



14. Moderation


Stepflow uses automated systems, human moderators, and user reports to review content. Automated systems assist in detecting spam, abuse, harmful content, and potential violations. Enforcement may be carried out by automated systems and/or trained human moderators.



15. Sanctions


In case of violations, Stepflow may take actions including:

  • Removal of content
  • Reach limitation or reduced visibility
  • Content labeling or restriction
  • Feature limitations
  • Temporary suspensions
  • Permanent bans
  • Account deletions
  • Restrictions on monetization or advertising

Actions depend on severity, frequency, and impact of the violation.



16. Reporting System


Users may report content or profiles that violate these guidelines. Reports must be made in good faith. Abusive, false, or repeated spam reports may themselves result in action.



17. Appeals


Users may appeal moderation decisions. Appeals must be submitted via support email: support@stpflw.com. Stepflow will review appeals within a reasonable timeframe and provide a reasoned decision. This aligns with transparency and complaint mechanisms under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).



18. Repeat Violations


In case of repeated or severe violations, Stepflow may take appropriate measures.


These may include:

  • Warning
  • Content removal or restriction
  • Temporary feature limitations
  • Temporary account suspension
  • Termination of premium services (e.g. Stepflow+)
  • Permanent account suspension
  • Account deletion 

The measure depends on the type, severity, and frequency of the violation. Creating new accounts to bypass a suspension is prohibited and may lead to immediate re-suspension.



19. Changes to the Guidelines


Stepflow may update these Community Guidelines at any time if required for legal, technical, or security reasons. The latest version is available on the platform.
